Welcome to LSU Alexandria. As the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the University, I am pleased that you have chosen to pursue your educational success at LSUA. You are coming to LSUA at a time of rapid change. We have, within the last three years, added several new degree programs including our most recent additions in Business, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Communications Studies and English. Over the next few months and years we will add baccalaureate programs in Allied Health and the Visual and Performing Arts. These complement our existing programs at both the associate and baccalaureate degree levels.
We have initiated our intercollegiate athletic program with baseball and softball and anticipating adding more athletic opportunities in the near future. The University has extended operations to downtown Alexandria through the Alexandria Museum of Art, the Allied Health Education Center and the Business Education Center. Classes are also offered at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish. Major facility renovations and a new classroom building will soon be underway as is the construction of our athletic fields. The University remains committed to small classes, personal attention and is entirely focused on the undergraduate experience. This is an exciting time to be a part of LSUA where your success as a student is our success as an institution. We wish you the very best in the semesters to come.
